Wouldn't it be great to link any object directly to a 'video memory' or an article of text describing its history or background? Tales of Things allows just that with a quick and easy way to link any media to any object via small printable tags known as QR codes. How about tagging a building, your old antique clock or perhaps that object you're about to put on eBay?
This Fisher Price Teaching Clock is (gulp) over 40 years old and it's about the only thing I have from childhood. The memory I have of it is of my Dad patiently trying to teach me how to tell the time. I must have been about four or five and I was in my bedroom, the sun streaming through the window. It must have been summer because I had shorts on. Happy and carefree :-)
The clock is mechanical and plays the tune Grandfather's Clock. And it still makes me sad listening to it thinking about my Dad and Gran. My Mum and Dad split up when I was six and that was pretty much the last time I saw my Gran :-( I met my Dad briefly about 10 years ago.
So the clock brings back a lot of happy memories but makes me sad at the same time.

Its a lovely tale 'cawa'. The soundtrack over the photos at the end is so emotive.
